Attacker Chelsea interested in signing set to make January move after agreement reached

Reports claim Chelsea are set to miss out to AS Roma on the signing of Marseille youngster Robinio Vaz, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The 18-year-old emerged as a target for the Blues in the early stages of the season after impressing the Blues scouts with his performances for French giants Marseille.

CHELSEA reportedly held talks with the player’s camp in November, and their interest was surely piqued further when it was revealed in December that Marseille would be willing to listen to offers during this January transfer window.

However, his oals have dried up in recent weeks, and minutes have been increasingly hard to come by, meaning that CHELSEA stopped focusing on a possible deal for the talented young man and instead switched their attentions elsewhere.

This has allowed AS Roma to make their moves, and Fabrizio Romano has revealed that The Giallorossi have agreed a deal with Marseille for Vaz. Roma will pay €20 million upfront and a potential further €5m in bonuses.

IcChelseanews Says…

Vaz is a talent, there is no doubt about that and we did want him at the beginning of the season, but he has not looked that impressive over the past few months and it is easy to see why Chelsea have pulled out of the chase.

A move to Roma may be the best thing for the lad as we believe that we was not good enough to make any sort of impact here at the Bridge, so this is a transfer rumour that doesnt bother us too much
