There has been some reports in the media which have claimed that Chelsea are ready to pay over £100 million to try and secure the services of Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson.
This transfer window has now seen much action for Chelsea in terms of players coming and going, but it has already been chaotic after the club opted to let Enzo Maresca eave the club on new years Day.
Liam Rosenior is in charge of CHELSEA, with alot of pressure on the former Strasbourg boss to make an immediate impact considering the board want Champions League football for next season, and maybe a trophy added too.
The 23-year-old Anderson has excelled since leaving Newcastle for the City Ground and is now firmly established as part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans for next summer’s World Cup.
Unsurprisingly, Anderson’s form has alerted a number of leading Premier League clubs with the likes of Chelsea, Man United and Tottenham all reportedly interested in a deal for the talented midfielder.
And according to a report from TEAMtalk, CHELSEA are definitely interested in signing Elliot.
However, on top of that massive price tag, a potential hurdle to this deal is that Manchester City are currently seen as favourites to land the Englishman’s signature.
IcFootballnews Says…
It is very easy to see why all the big clubs wants Anderson, he has been so impressive for Forest and a player that could become one of the best in his position, but he needs to make the right career choices.
If the big clubs are circling for a potential deal, then Anderson needs to make sue that CHELSEA, Man City or United have the space in the side for him to play, he doesnt want to move and then sit on the bench you know?
