Davis urged fans to stop paying attention to the "lies" circulating online, posting his message shortly after Shams Charania of ESPN reported that Davis is likely to undergo surgery to repair ligament damage in his left hand and miss several months.
Charania also noted that the Mavericks are holding renewed trade talks involving Davis with multiple interested teams.
“Y’all better stop listening to all these lies on these apps!” Davis wrote on X.
Davis, who has appeared in just 20 games this season, is averaging 20.4 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game, while the Mavericks are currently outside the Play-In spots, sitting 12th in the Western Conference with a 15–25 record.
