Here is a roundup of the top Liverpool news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews featuring the likes of Ibrihima Konate and Marc Guehi that you may have missed today…
There has been some reports in the media which have claimed Crystal Palace have slapped a £40million price tag on Marc Guehi should the likes of Chelsea try and sign him this month, The Sun report.
Guehi, who becomes a free agent at the end of the season, had been linked with a January move to Manchester City, LIVERPOOL, Arsenal and Chelsea for his performances in that Palace shirt over the past few transfer windows.
The defender has not come out and admitted that he would like to leave, nor has any of the chasing clubs submitted an offer to try and get a deal done, but that hasnt stopped the speculation which has suggested a move could happen this month.
Manchester City want to sign the Crystal Palace captain this month following injuries to Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol, with Arsenal and Chelsea keen on moving in the summer – when his current contract at Selhurst Park expires.
According to reports, LIVERPOOL are ready to try and sign the defender this month and with all the interest in the services of Guehi and the fact he is out of contract at the end of the season, it has been claimed on the Sun that Palace will want no less than £40 million for their star man.

Guehi has developed into one of the best defenders in the Premier League, he would be worth that asking price of £40 million and we should make a move for the star before the other teams make their move.
LIVERPOOL need to make signings that will improve that back-line because they have been having issues this season, so if there is a chance to get Guehi before their rivals, they should make their moves now and try to get a transfer deal done.
KONATE TO LEAVE?
Here is the latest Liverpool transfer speculation as reports have now claimed that Ibrihima Konate is heading towards the exit signs at Anfield as talks over a new contract have stalled in recent days.
The Frenchman, who joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2021, has lifted five major trophies during his time at Anfield, including the Premier League in 2024/25.

But the France international’s future has been the subject of speculation in recent months, with LIVERPOOL making efforts to extend his stay at Anfield for the foreseeable future.
However, with no breakthrough in contract talks, Konate is anticipated to depart the Reds on a free transfer when his deal runs out at the end of the season, with a number of clubs keeping a very close eye on his situation at the Premier League Champions
Reports have claimed Liverpool are expected to focus on signing a new centre-back in the summer after failing to reach a breakthrough in talks to extend Konate’s contract.
IcFootballnews View…
Konate has been a great player for Liverpool over the past few seasons and his partnership with Virgil Van Dijk has been one of the key reasons why the club are so good defensively.
He is a massive part of that Liverpool side, so the news that he will probably wont agree a new contract at LIVERPOOL is a big shock, but no real surprised as many fans want to see a new defender or two brought to the club
There will seemingly be some big changes at the end of the season for LIVERPOOL, but if Konate does leave the club, fans will wish him all the best as he has done a wonderful job at the club and earned his place in the squad over the last few years.
GUEHI WANTS SUMMER MOVE
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool transfer target Marc Guehi continues to prefer to leave Crystal Palace at the end of the season rather than depart this month.
Romano has claimed that Guehi would prefer to leave Palace at the end of the season rather than this January window: “I can tell you on Marc Guehi, the intention of the player has always been moving in the summer on a free transfer, with LIVERPOOL really pushing and Arsenal calling because Arteta is a big fan. Bayern [Munich] have also had some meetings for Guehi, but now [Dayot] Upamecano is expected to sign a new contract.
“Manchester City can be clear. They want Guehi, they want to make an important proposal and want to go strong in this January window and will try next week.
“If the player decides to accept, Man City are prepared to make an agreement with Crystal Palace.
‘They don’t see any problems with that, but it’s on the player, and his plan has always been to move in the summer. So let’s see what happens, but Marc Guehi story remains absolutely alive.”

We would be really shocked to see Guehi leave Palace this transfer window, he is such a big player for them and losing him at this stage would be a massive blow. But if the right amount of money is offered, he Palace would like to get something for the England star.
