West Ham United’s January transfer planning has intensified as the club attempt to address growing concerns during a difficult Premier League campaign, and they've made enquiries for Chelsea duo Filip Jorgensen and Axel Disasi, according to TEAMtalk.
With the Hammers sitting in the relegation zone and pressure mounting on results, internal discussions have focused on whether targeted reinforcements could help stabilise performances in the second half of the season. Despite having depth across several positions, there is a belief within the club that certain areas still lack the required reliability and quality to navigate a relegation battle.
As a result, West Ham have begun exploring multiple options in the market, making enquiries across different positions as they weigh up what business, if any, can realistically be completed this month.

According to TEAMtalk, West Ham United have made enquiries about Filip Jorgensen and Axel Disasi as they assess potential January reinforcements.
Sources have told TEAMtalk that West Ham manager Nuno Espírito Santo, a former goalkeeper himself, is not fully satisfied with his options between the posts despite having Alphonse Areola, Mads Hermansen and Łukasz Fabiański available.
West Ham have contacted Chelsea to ask about the availability of Jorgensen, who is currently serving as back-up to Robert Sánchez. However, the Hammers were informed that the 23-year-old is unlikely to be available during the January window, with Chelsea reluctant to weaken their goalkeeping depth mid-season. Jorgensen joined Chelsea from Villarreal in the summer of 2024 for £20.7m and remains under contract until 2031.
In addition, West Ham have also enquired about Chelsea defender Disasi as they look to strengthen at the back. The France international has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, but Chelsea are understood to be cautious about allowing multiple defensive departures during the same window. Combined, it's reported that Disasi and Jorgensen earn £162,000-a-week in west London.
Why Deals Remain Difficult as West Ham Assess Relegation Fight
Axel Disasi
Despite interest in both players, sources indicate that neither deal is currently close.
While Jorgensen would be open to a move to the London Stadium in search of more regular football, Chelsea feels that allowing him to leave would leave them short. Similarly, any move for Disasi would depend on Chelsea’s broader defensive plans and West Ham’s ability to structure a deal that fits their financial constraints.
West Ham’s enquiries are understood to be exploratory rather than advanced, reflecting the club’s cautious approach amid financial considerations.
With West Ham currently third from bottom in the Premier League, having collected just 14 points from 21 matches, decisions made in this window could prove decisive. For now, the club continue to monitor multiple options, aware that strengthening more than one position may be necessary if they are to pull clear of danger.
