According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Lakers are signing guard Kobe Bufkin to a 10-day contract.
Bufkin has starred for the Lakers’ South Bay NBA G League affiliate and also spent time with the Grizzlies earlier this season.
Drafted 15th overall by the Atlanta Hawks in 2023, injuries and inconsistent NBA opportunities slowed his early professional career before he found his rhythm in the G League.
Through seven games this season, he is averaging 28.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists while shooting 39 percent from three—numbers that have put him firmly on front offices’ radars.
