Reportedly, there is some optimism in Dallas that Anthony Davis could return at some point in March, even if he is forced to undergo surgery on his left hand.
While Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis has been reported to most likely undergo surgery to repair ligament damage in his left hand and miss several months, potentially the entire Mavs season, there is also an expectation that he could return before the start of the postseason.
According to NBA insider Marc Stein, there is some optimism in Dallas that Anthony Davis could return at some point in March, even if he is forced to undergo surgery on his left hand.
Davis has suffered significantly from injuries this season, missing half of the games, the majority of which were due to a calf injury he sustained in October.
Davis has appeared in just 20 games this season, averaging 20.4 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game, while the Mavericks are currently outside the Play-In spots, sitting 12th in the Western Conference with a 15–25 record.
