According to sportscaster Rachel Nichols, Morant has set his sights on the Miami Heat as his preferred landing spot.
“I know [Ja Morant] wants to go down to Miami from what I’ve heard,” Nichols said on the latest Open Floor NBA Show.
Earlier, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that the Memphis Grizzlies are exploring the possibility of trading the two-time All-Star, with multiple teams already showing interest in the dynamic point guard.
This season, Morant has appeared in 18 games, averaging 19.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 7.6 assists per contest. His shooting efficiency has struggled, as he is shooting 40.1 percent from the field and just 20.8 percent from three-point range.
Despite those numbers, Morant’s playmaking and explosiveness continue to keep him among the league’s most exciting guards.
