With a goal to advance through the East playoffs and reach the NBA Finals, the Celtics already have their hands full with teams like the Detroit Pistons and New York Knicks. This could make Boston’s postseason path more difficult than expected. Morant is averaging 19.0 points, 7.6 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game this year in 18 games played. He still hasn’t returned to the kind of MVP-type form he once displayed in Memphis, but he’s also only 26 years old. A change of scenery could unleash Ja once again, and the Celtics are hoping it’s not in Miami.
