Former Liverpool coach confirms Arsenal move

**Former Liverpool throw-in coach Thomas Gronnemark has joined Arsenal.**

Gronnemark spent five years working at Anfield after being sounded out by Jurgen Klopp in the wake of his side’s 2018 Champions League final loss to Real Madrid.

The former Danish sprinter and bobsleigh rider’s methods vastly improved the Reds’ throw-in techniques which delivered European glory just 12 months later.

They followed that up in 2020 by winning a first Premier League title for 30 years at a canter with 14 goals scored in that successful campaign traced to throw-ins.

Now the 50-year-old has confirmed on social media that is is working with Mikel Arteta’s side as they bid to replace Liverpool as Premier League champions.

He said: “It’s out.

“Yes, I coach Arsenal. Both in the ‘Long, Fast and Clever throw-in’.

“No more comments at the moment.”

Gronnemark is the second former Liverpool backroom staff member to line up against them this season with Klopp’s ex-assistant Pep Lijnders at Manchester City.
