According to Suns coach Jordan Ott, Green is now in the final stages of his hamstring recovery.

It will only be a matter of time before Jalen Green is finally back for the Phoenix Suns.

Jordan Ott announced Tuesday that Green has made significant progress in his ongoing hamstring rehabilitation.

According to the Suns head coach, Green has been cleared for contact and is "moving in the right direction."

"He's there. He's progressed to playing with some players and coaches. So we'll just keep him moving in the right direction," said Ott before their matchup against the Heat. "He's taking steps every day and we'll continue to assess. He is [playing] up and down. So that's the final stages of this all.

"Being out for so long, we're going to be as cautious as we can."

Green only played for two games this season due to a right hamstring strain. He missed the initial portion of the season and re-aggravated his injury.

Despite his absence, the Suns remained competitive behind the leadership of Devin Booker and Dillon Brooks. Phoenix holds a 24-15 record.

Green's return will make the Suns even more competitive as the regular season continues.
