All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Chelsea as they prepare to face Arsenal.

In the meantime, the transfer window continues to play out, and it will be interesting to see if Chelsea hand Rosenior any new weapons before the deadline, while exits are likely. Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Stamford Bridge.

Paquetá claim

Chelsea have been linked with a move for West Ham star Lucas Paquetá in recent days, with the attacking midfielder potentially on the move. According to TalkSPORT, Paquetá is causing West Ham real concern, with fears that he could go on strike in a bid to push through a transfer.

Paquetá is too good to be fighting relegation, and with West Ham in a bad situation near the bottom, he could quit having reportedly almost joined Manchester City in the past. If Paquetá does throw his toys out of the pram, Chelsea could look to make a move, though FFP concerns could make a move tricky.

Mane blow

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Wolves starlet Mateus Mane in recent days, with the 18-year-old attracting plenty of attention. But according to Pete O’Rourke, a deal won’t be happening in January.

He told Football Insider: “Yeah, for sure. I don’t think Wolves have any plans to sell Mateus Mane in the January window. He has been a real bright spark for Wolves in what has been a dark season so far at Molineux.

“Wolves won’t want to entertain losing such a bright young prospect such as Mane right now. They want to keep hold of him and build a team around him because that’s how impressive his displays have been. I think it would take a big offer for Wolves to consider selling them and I’m sure they’ll be desperate to keep holding them until the summer at least.”

Rosenior on Arsenal clash

Rosenior has been speaking ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Arsenal. He said: “We've been working tactically on Arsenal from the moment I came into the club. We know what an important game it is, we've watched all of their games, analysed every aspect of their game, including set plays, which they're very good at. There's a lot you can affect.

“We talk about systems and tactics, the way you press, the way you build, but what I was very happy with - after only being here for two days - was the attitude of the team against Charlton: in terms of our energy, in terms of our intensity to press, in terms of winning duels.

“If you don't have intensity, if you're not willing to do the basics - win duels or defend set plays well - you make it very difficult to win. I'm confident in the group and they've shown, not just in the time before me but in the last few days, that they're really hungry. They really believe in themselves.”
