Luka Doncic gives an update on his injury status after huge double-double vs. Hawks

Luka Doncic said he’s feeling a little bit worse than yesterday but expects to be fine heading into the next game.

Despite being listed as questionable ahead of the game against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday with left groin soreness, Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Doncic ended up playing and leading his team to a dominant 141–116 win in L.A.

Luka dropped 27 points and dished out 12 assists in the game, showing no signs of soreness in Tuesday’s matchup.

After the game, commenting on his injury status, Luka said that despite not feeling 100 percent, he wanted to play, also noting that he’s feeling a bit worse now but should be fine for the upcoming game on Thursday.

“For me, I want to play. So, you know, I obviously wasn’t feeling 100 percent. But in my head, I always want to play. It’s a little bit worse than yesterday, but we’ll be fine," he commented on his injury status postgame.

Luka has appeared in 31 games for the Lakers this season, averaging a league-leading 33.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per game.

So far, he has led the Lakers to fifth place in the Western Conference with a 24–14 record.
