Liam Rosenior has labelled Cole Palmer and four of his team mates as “special talents” as he spoke about how to get the best out of the England international.
The 41-year-old is preparing for his first game at Stamford Bridge against Arsenal in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi final on Wednesday night.
Rosenior oversaw a 5-1 win against Charlton in the FA Cup third round on Saturday, but this will be a much tougher test.
Liam Rosenior on Cole Palmer and “special talents” at Chelsea
Rosenior has inherited a talented squad at Chelsea, but one which requires a lot of players to be developed and improved.
Among the top talents at the club are Palmer, who’s really struggled this season after missing virtually the entire first half of the season with a groin injury.
The 23-year-old has scored twice since returning from injury against Leeds in December, but has looked off the pace and missed the game against Charlton.

Palmer is a doubt for the game against Arsenal, but Rosenior insisted he was a “special” talent, along with four of his team-mates.
“I think Cole is a special talent, like Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, Pedro Neto and Estevao [Willian] are special talents,” he told Chelsea’s website.
“My job is to get to know him, to connect with him and to understand what gets the best out of him.
“That takes time. I’m just super excited to work with him. The scary thing with Cole is that he’s already got world-class ability, but he’s just 23 years old.”
