Chelsea have opened talks to sign Feyenoord forward Anis Hadj-Moussa this January, according to reports in France as the Blues seek to add some more fire-power to the squad for the second half of the season.
CHELSEA have dominated possession in many matches this season, yet the team has struggled to convert chances into goals. The wide areas, in particular, have lacked the ruthlessness expected at the highest level.
At times, Chelsea’s attacks have looked predictable, one-paced, and too reliant on individual moments rather than sustained threat. A new attacker with pace, directness, and goal-scoring instincts would bring a sharper edge and increase the team’s ability to break down compact defences — something they have struggled with repeatedly.
The Paris-born winger caught the eye with a string of impressive cameo performances at the Africa Cup of Nations with Algeria, who were eliminated at the quarter-final stage by Nigeria at the weekend.
It follows an impressive start to the season for Hadj-Moussa at club level, with the 23-year-old racking up seven goals and three assists in 23 appearances for Feyenoord.

The report has claimed that CHELSEA have now opened talks with the AFCON star in order to try and get a deal done before the close of the transfer window.

Hadj-Moussa has been impressive this season for his club, and even more impressive at AFCON, but he is no better than what Chelsea currently have and the fact he only has seven goals this season means that he would not add much of a threat in the Premier League.
If CHELSEA are to sign a new attacker, they need someone that can bang in the goals, score 25-30 goals a season, that is what is missing from that attack right now.
