Arsenal U18s play Manchester City away on Friday in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup and it is almost three years since these sides last faced each other in this competition in what was a memorable encounter.

Up against a City team that included Nico O’Reilly and Max Alleyne, Arsenal benefited from the visitors having Lakye Samuel sent off after just six minutes.

Michal Rosiak then gave Arsenal the lead but Justin Oboavwoduo equalised for City in the 75th minute, with the game subsequently heading to extra-time.

In the final minute of stoppage time at the end of extra-time Myles Lewis-Skelly, who was then a schoolboy, scored a dramatic late winner with a header to spark wild celebrations at Emirates Stadium.

Here’s a look at where the Arsenal team from that game have ended up.

**Noah Cooper**

The goalkeeper featured prominently in the Youth Cup run but joined Stoke in 2024 after being released.

This season he had a short loan spell with Havant & Waterlooville, while he has also featured for Stoke’s U21 side.

**Michal Rosiak**

Rosiak had some memorable moments during that Youth Cup run and went on to be named on the bench for the first-team away to Real Madrid last season.

He chose to leave last summer and is now at Slask Wroclaw, for whom he has played 13 times this season, scoring twice.

**Reuell Walters**

A talented defender, Walters was frequently named on the bench for the Arsenal first-team but didn’t make a competitive appearance and eventually chose to leave.

Walters signed for Luton in 2024 and has played 23 times but has endured further struggles with injuries. He is currently being managed by Jack Wilshere, who was also his coach during the Youth Cup run.

**Josh Robinson**

The defender went on to earn a professional contract and was named on the bench for the Arsenal first-team for four Champions League games.

Robinson joined Wigan a year ago and, although he was called up by the Latics at first-team level in the FA Cup, he departed last summer and is still without a club.

**Lino Sousa**

Left-back Sousa was very highly rated during the 2022/23 campaign but ended up being another player who left to pursue opportunities elsewhere.

Sousa joined Aston Villa in February 2024 and was immediately loaned to Plymouth Argyle before later spending time with Bristol Rovers.

The youngster is currently part of Villa’s U21 squad.

**Bradley Ibrahim**

The player who provided the assist for Lewis-Skelly’s goal, Ibrahim also received first-team callups for Arsenal but left for Hertha Berlin in February 2024.

After a loan spell at Crawley Town, he is now back in English football permanently with Plymouth Argyle and played regularly this season before suffering an injury.

**Myles Lewis-Skelly**

A player who needs no introduction, Lewis-Skelly has made 62 senior appearances for Arsenal and also has six senior England caps.

Lewis-Skelly played in midfield in this game against City and it will be intriguing to see if he eventually ends up back in this position in senior football. Incidentally, his only senior goal to date for Arsenal also came against City.

**Jimi Gower**

Hard-working midfielder Gower was called up to the first-team at times last season before departing in the summer.

Gower is now playing in Portugal for Moreirense, for whom he has made three senior appearances.

**Amario Cozier-Duberry**

One of the stars of this Youth Cup team, Cozier-Duberry is another player who ended up leaving by his own admission.

The winger signed for Brighton and had a loan spell at Blackburn before linking up with Bolton, for whom he has excelled this campaign by scoring seven goals and providing nine assists in all competitions.

England U20 winger Cozier-Duberry remains contracted to Brighton and seems set to play at a high level soon.

**Ethan Nwaneri**

Nwaneri, who was deployed as a centre forward in this game, had already played for the Arsenal first-team by the time he faced City.

He has now made 51 senior appearances, scoring ten times, and is an England U21 international.

**Omari Benjamin**

Forward Benjamin surprisingly wasn’t offered a professional contract by Arsenal in 2024 and ended up signing for Everton.

Previously capped by Wales at youth level, he has featured prominently for Everton U21s but has yet to make a senior appearance.

**Subs:**

**Osman Kamara**

A winger who often made an impact as a substitute in the Youth Cup run, Kamara is still at Arsenal and is part of the U21 squad. He has been capped by Sierra Leone at youth level.

**Seb Ferdinand**

Another winger who remains at Arsenal, Ferdinand signed professional terms with the club in 2024 and has often trained with the first-team this season.

**Ismail Oulad M’hand**

Skilful midfielder Oulad M’hand perhaps didn’t get as many opportunities to impress for Arsenal at U21 level as he deserved.

The Morocco youth international departed last summer and now plays for Zeljeznicar in Bosnia. He has made six league appearances this season and provided an assist.

**Maldini Kacurri**

A late introduction against City, Kacurri recently returned to Arsenal following a loan spell at Morecambe, having previously spent time with Bromley.

The defender played for the Arsenal first-team against Bolton in the Carabao Cup last season and has also made one senior appearance for Albania.

**Not used:**

**Josh Nichols**

Another player who is still at Arsenal, Nichols also played for the first-team against Bolton last season.

He has made many appearances at youth level but has only received one senior callup this campaign.

**Luis Brown**

Defender Brown progressed through the ranks at Hale End before signing scholarship terms in 2023. He joined West Ham in 2024, where he is part of the U21 squad.

**Alexei Rojas**

The goalkeeper has, somewhat bizarrely, been extremely underused by Arsenal at youth level, playing just one competitive game since the start of last season.

He has, however, frequently trained with the first-team squad and has been named on the bench for the senior side.
