Conor Bradley has successfully undergone surgery on the knee injury he suffered at Arsenal, with the defender sending a brief message to supporters.
Bradley’s season was declared over after scans showed a ‘significant’ injury to his left knee, which included damage to his ligaments and bone.
He has now undergone surgery to conclude the first step on his long road to recovery, and he took to Instagram to share a quick message after the procedure.
“A big blow but surgery is done so the comeback starts now,” he penned.
“It won’t be for a little while but I already can’t wait to get back playing for @liverpoolfc and @northernireland.
“Thanks for all the support.”
Bradley’s post quickly received messages of well wishes from current and former teammates, including Stefan Bajcetic, Kostas Tsimikas, Neco Williams, Bobby Clark, Rio Ngumoha and Milos Kerkez.
Ibrahima Konate, meanwhile, wrote, “You will come back stronger my Little Brother,” with Andy Robertson writing: “Comeback starts now mate.”
While Bradley, thankfully, avoided an ACL rupture, his rehabilitation will be an arduous process, but he will have Giovanni Leoni and Alexander Isak to lean on in the treatment room.

The former has also been ruled out for the rest of the season, while the hope for the latter is he can play a part in the final months of his debut campaign at Anfield.
Bradley had played 1,209 minutes across 21 appearances this season. At the time, only 12 Liverpool players had amassed more minutes.
Will Liverpool sign a defender in the January transfer window?

Despite losing both Leoni and Bradley to season-ending injuries, reports state that Liverpool are not currently expected to sign a defender in the winter window.
According to the Athletic’s David Ornstein, Liverpool’s stance is that they hope Bradley “will be back for the start of pre-season and – given the way the club operate – they would not make a permanent signing for such a period of time.”
Marc Guehi remains the obvious defensive reinforcement choice, but a January transfer “hasn’t been deemed realistic” states The Athletic’s James Pearce as he will be a free agent in the summer.
