Liverpool set to receive improved second offer for Reds star from Serie A giants: Reports

Liverpool are prepared to receive an improved offer from Juventus for the transfer of Federico Chiesa this month, as per reports. The Premier League champions are prepared to listen to offers for the Italy international, who has failed to earn a regular starting berth in Arne Slot's side.

Calciomercato reports (via Mirror) that Juventus are set to return with a new offer for Chiesa after failing with an earlier bid for the forward. The Bianconeri submitted an unsuccessful offer of a loan with an option to buy earlier this month, and are now prepared to make it an obligation to buy.

Liverpool signed Chiesa on a permanent basis from Juventus ahead of the 2024-25 season in a cut-price deal. The 28-year-old had been declared as being surplus to requirements by then-Juventus boss Thiago Motta, and went on to win the Premier League in his first season in England.

Federico Chiesa has been a bit-part player since signing for the Reds and is prepared to consider his future. He has started just two league games since he moved to Anfield in the summer of 2024. This season, he has played 21 times across all competitions, starting only four times for Slot's team.

Chiesa has found minutes hard to come by, even with injuries to Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak in recent weeks, as well as the absence of Mohamed Salah due to the AFCON. The former Fiorentina man has found the net twice this season while also providing three assists across all competitions.

Luciano Spalletti's Juventus have lost just once since the start of November and are keen to build on their fine form by making quality January additions. They appear keen on Chiesa, who will likely not mind a return to his native Italy, as things stand.

Liverpool eyeing move for Serie A defender: Reports

Liverpool are eyeing a move to sign Como defender Jacobo Ramon in the summer, as per reports. The Reds are keen to strengthen their backline, which has been exposed by injuries this season, ahead of the 2026-27 season.

According to Football Espana, the Reds have joined Chelsea and Real Madrid in considering a move for the 21-year-old Spaniard after his impressive performance in Italy. Real Madrid are in the driving seat for any deal, as they had a buyback clause written into the deal that took him to Como last summer.

Ramon made his professional bow for Los Blancos in the 2024-25 season before opting for a move abroad to play regularly. With the future of Ibrahima Konate yet to be resolved, Liverpool could offer the young centre-back a clearer path to being a starter for a top side in the Premier League.
