Aston Villa and Tottenham have Manchester City player’s priority – Agent at work

There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur remain interested in Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush.

The Egypt international has been linked with the two Premier League clubs in recent weeks following uncertainty over his future.

Çağatay Çelik reports on the latest developments regarding the Manchester City player’s situation, as covered by Haber Sarikirmizi.

The journalist claims Galatasaray have now been offered to chance to sign the 26-year-old, via George Gardi. The Italian agent was influential in the arrivals of Mauro Icardi and Victor Osimhen at Rams Park, so will be something of a hero there.

However, Çelik believes Marmoush wants to remain in the Premier League, with Aston Villa and Tottenham leading the way. He also adds the attacker only wants to go out on loan.

“George Gardi has proposed Manchester City’s Egyptian footballer Omar Marmoush to Galatasaray. Aston Villa and Tottenham are interested in Marmoush, whose priority is to stay in England. The Egyptian footballer is only considering leaving Manchester City on loan,” said the Turkish journalist.

Currently away at AFCON, Marmoush’s Manchester City future has been thrown into further doubt with the recent arrival of Antoine Semenyo. The Ghana international has hit the ground running since signing from Bournemouth, scoring two goals in as many games.

Aston Villa and Tottenham look to have a chance

This could give both Aston Villa and Tottenham hope of landing the forward in this window. Both clubs are looking to add to their attack going into the later stages of the season.

There have been reports his agent will sit down with Pep Guardiola to discuss his client’s role in the squad. However, this is only likely to happen when the player returns to the Etihad.

Marmoush has made just two league starts in a season hampered by injury and interrupted by AFCON. He’s contracted to Manchester City until June 2029.

Egypt face Senegal at 5pm.
