We have always warned you that this January was set to be a quiet one, and it looks like that’s been an accurate prediction.
Chelsea goalkeeper set for mystery January move
Teddy Sharman-Lowe set to be recalled by Chelsea after a good loan at Bolton, says Nizaar Kinsella.

One thing that IS happening, as we’ve just heard from Nizaar Kinsella, is that one of Chelsea’s on loan goalkeepers is being recalled.
As Kinsella points out, Teddy Sharman-Lowe has been having a great loan at Bolton Wanderers this season. So why recall him? Kinsella says “all options” are being considered. So what are those options?
The first is obvious – recalling TSL so we can loan him to a better club on the back of his strong spell at Bolton. But they’re 6th in League One – are we really going to find a guaranteed Championship starting spot for him mid-season? It seems unlikely.
As Kinsella points out, the other option would be keeping the youngster in our first team squad. That would likely mean that a loan or permanent move for one of our backups Gaga Slonina or even Filip Jorgensen has been arranged. That would be good for keeping their value up, but at the expense of TSL’s development. That would seem pretty pointless to us.
We’ll keep an eye on where this one goes.
In other news…
Another loan with a changing situation is that of David Datro Fofana. Chelsea want to sell him so they can free up a foreign loan slot – potentially to be used on Slonina or Jorgensen.
Chelsea’s striker situation is already pretty muddy – the two summer arrivals have struggled to make a huge impact, and one of them in particular looks likely to spend a while out of the first team picture unless he can start scoring.
