The Milwaukee Bucks are desperate to keep Giannis Antetokounmpo. After multiple instances of him suggesting he could leave the team, the Bucks have their backs against the wall. They need to win big quickly in order to keep Antetokounmpo happy.
Right now, Milwaukee sits 11th in the Eastern Conference standings. That would place them outside the play-in if the season were to end today. That could indicate that the Bucks are looking to add a player to significantly boost their playoff hopes this season.
A crazy trade proposal from Bleacher Report would have Milwaukee trade for oft-injured forward Anthony Davis in order to make a playoff push.

Bucks Trade for Anthony Davis in Crazy Trade Proposal
Here is the full trade proposal:
Hawks get: Kyle Kuzma, Bobby Portis, Kevin Porter Jr., Andre Jackson Jr., and first-round pick swaps in 2031 and 2032
Bucks get: Anthony Davis
This would be a lot to give up for the Bucks in order to bring back an asset that can’t stay on the court. Kuzma was a failed experiment they tried at last year’s trade deadline. He has almost no trade value at the moment, so putting him in a larger trade like this is the only hope Milwaukee has of getting anything in return for him.
Trading Porter Jr. would see them part ways with their starting point guard. Getting rid of him would force the Bucks to rely on Ryan Rollins or Cole Anthony to be the starting point guard. Shedding point guards instead of adding them is not what they should be looking to do.
Two first-round pick swaps down the line is also dangerous for them to do, especially if Antetokounmpo leaves anyway. If he walks, the Bucks instantly become a contender to be one of the worst teams in the league. That means their pick becomes extremely valuable.

The Milwaukee Bucks Will be Active at the Trade Deadline
Milwaukee will be active at the trade deadline. It would be shocking to see the trade deadline come and go without them making a move to improve the team. Even if they don’t bring someone in like Davis, they will still try to make a significant move.
The Bucks are one of the teams to watch because of their desperation to keep Antetokounmpo. Without him, the face of the franchise is gone, and fans become unhappy. Keeping this team together and happy is the goal of Jon Horst and the front office.
Right now, the Bucks have the 10th-worst offense. A trade for a big star better help increase that rating for the rest of the season, because that will determine whether or not they will make the playoffs. Milwaukee is in full desperation mode.
Despite the injury to Davis’ hand, he will still have some suitors at the deadline. Milwaukee will certainly do its homework on him.
