Pedro Neto has been speaking to the media ahead of Chelsea’s EFL Cup semi final first leg against Arsenal today.
“It will be a really important match [vs Arsenal]. Like I always say, we are Chelsea so we want to win titles. We are facing a very good team, but it’s a semi-final and we are looking forward to that,” the winger said in quotes picked up by the club’s official website.
“We have a lot to do in the league still, but we want to win in the cups. We are in the Champions League, we are in the FA Cup, we’re in the Carabao Cup. If we don’t dream, who’s going to dream for us? Nobody.”

Neto has improved his goalscoring this season, but a lot of fans aren’t happy with his performances overall. There’s no doubt that his place is under threat – if Liam Rosenior continues with a double pivot and Enzo Fernandez pushed into the number 10, that means Cole Palmer on the right wing in Neto’s usual place.
The Portuguese can also play off the left, but it means so much competition with the other wing options.
Tonight, whether he’s used on the left or the right, is a big chance for him to impress his new manager and show he still has a future as a starter.

Matt Law’s update on the likes of James and Gusto was interesting reading – and he also noted that another option was soon coming online for Rosenior as an almost forgotten summer signing gradually gets up to speed.
Teddy Sharman-Lowe has been doing well at Bolton, but Chelsea are apparently thinking of recalling him. It’s an interesting situation we looked into here.
