Arsenal have reportedly rejected an approach from West Ham for Ethan Nwaneri.
The 18-year-old attacker signed a new five-year deal with the club last summer but has since struggled for regular game time.
This has sparked speculation over whether he could leave the Gunners on loan in January, with a number of Premier League clubs linked with a potential move.
Now, reliable West Ham insider ExWHUEmployee reports that West Ham have made an approach over signing Nwaneri this month.
However, Mikel Arteta’s side have no intention of letting their Hale End product leave mid-season and have turned down West Ham’s enquiry.
Previous reports have also suggested that Nwaneri himself prefers to stay at Arsenal until the end of the season.
