The Milwaukee Bucks just fell to a 17-23 record following their latest loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It wasn’t a pretty game either; the team was blown out by 33 points at their home arena, the Fiserv Forum. Fans were naturally unhappy, showering the team with boos at the half.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is a bona fide legend in Milwaukee. He brought the city its first NBA championship in half a century. He’s won multiple MVPs during his time with the Bucks. Giannis’ fiery nature has led to a lot of success for them, but it has also led to an intense response to the booing.

“I was definitely booing back,” Antetokounmpo told The Athletic. “When I get booed, I boo back. I’ve been doing that all season. You guys haven’t been with me on the road. Whenever I get booed, I boo back. When people don’t believe in me, I don’t tend to be with them. I tend to be against them.

Giannis being booed in Milwaukee sounds unbelievable. Although, to be fair, the fans were likely expressing their displeasure at the franchise for failing to build around him. If things don’t change quickly in Milwaukee, this might really be the Greek Freak’s final season there.
