Dallas Mavericks are exploring trade options for Naji Marshall and Daniel Gafford as the February deadline approaches. While the team prefers to keep Marshall, offers that provide financial flexibility may be considered, leaving fans wondering if either player could be on the move soon.
Dallas Mavericks are exploring trade options as the February deadline approaches, and sources say versatile swingman Naji Marshall has been generating interest from multiple teams. Along with center Daniel Gafford, Marshall is on the radar of several Eastern Conference squads looking to bolster their rosters, Marc Stein of The Stein Line reports.

The Mavericks, however, prefer to keep Marshall, who has been outperforming the three-year, $27 million deal he signed after replacing Derrick Jones Jr. from the 2024 Finals team.
Still, league sources suggest that any offers for Gafford or Marshall that provide financial relief may have to be seriously considered.
Gafford has appeared in 28 games this season, averaging 7.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks in about 20 minutes per game, providing solid rim protection off the bench.

Marshall has played in 40 games, putting up 13.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.1 steals per contest. He has been efficient with his shot, connecting on 54.0% from the field and 31.0% from three, showing versatility as both a scorer and defender for the Mavericks.
With trade talks heating up, Dallas faces tough decisions about which pieces to move while balancing financial flexibility and team performance as they push toward the Play-In spots.
