Garland leaves with a right foot injury in the Cavs-76ers matchup.
Darius Garland took a premature exit in the Cleveland Cavaliers' Wednesday road clash against the Philadelphia 76ers due to a right foot injury.
With over four minutes to go in the third quarter, Garland lost the ball as he was swarmed defensively by Quentin Grimes and Jabari Walker. Garland dropped and twisted his toes on the floor, eventually grabbing his calf.
Garland remained on the floor for several moments and walked gingerly to the bench. Afterwards, he was assisted to the team's locker room.
The Cavs announced that he won't return, ending his night with 20 points and seven dimes in 23 minutes.
The guard missed Cleveland's first seven games this season while ramping up toward a return. But toe issues kept bothering Garland, restricting his scoring averages to just 17.9 points per game.
Despite his injury exit, the Cavs still prevailed with a victory over the 76ers behind Donovan Mitchell's 35-point performance.
