Liverpool’s first significant business of the January window could be announced imminently.
The Reds have had a quiet window so far.
Liverpool signed centre-back Mor Talla Ndiaye, but have otherwise been quiet on the buying front. Marc Guehi is shaping up for the summer if Man City don’t tempt him sooner.
On the outgoing side, Harvey Elliott is being tipped for a move away after a failed loan spell at Aston Villa.

But the big development has to do with fan-favourite Federico Chiesa.
Juventus accelerating pursuit of Federico Chiesa
Chiesa has been the name on everyone’s lips with regards to potential Anfield exit.
It was reported this week that Juventus would accept Liverpool’s demand of an obligation attached to a loan move, if not a permanent transfer.
The Reds don’t want temporary measures. They seem to be decided on Chiesa.

With that detail ironed out, Juventus are now going to go in hard for the Italian, as is reported by Tuttomercatoweb.
The report states: “Juventus has decided to focus entirely on Chiesa to strengthen their attacking line. They are in constant contact with Liverpool, who are clearly open to the possibility of selling the player.
“With Chiesa himself keen to return to the Bianconeri, Juventus’s goal now is to find a solution to the deal with the Reds as quickly as possible, whether it be a permanent deal or a loan with an obligation to buy in June.”
This is far more urgent than the whispers we have been hearing over the last two weeks. The Italian outlet are confident that negotiations are advancing.
A head over heart decision for Liverpool
Since arriving at Anfield for just £10 million 18 months ago, Chiesa has been adored by Liverpool fans.
His playing time was not as regular as his wide popularity would suggest, but he played with such purpose and hunger that those in the Kop couldn’t help but fall in love.
Despite those strong feelings, his future has looked destined to be elsewhere for a while. Arne Slot has been hesitant to call upon the 28-year-old, and fitness issues have also played a part.

If Liverpool can recoup their investment, the cut to their wage bill could stand to them next summer, or in the unlikely event that they make a high-profile move this month.
Most Liverpool fans will be sad to see him go, but it may be for the best — for club and player alike.
