Liverpool look to stretch their unbeaten run to 12 matches when they welcome Burnley to Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Reds have hardly been scintillating during their stretch of results. However, the chastening 4-1 defeat by PSV Eindhoven does feel like some time ago and there have been some improvements made.
The Reds have struggled against teams that deploy a low block this season. Those are tactics that Burnley, 19th in the table, may well look to use. In the reverse meeting at Turf Moor, Liverpool struggled to break the Clarets down before they were awarded a stoppage-time penalty to secure a 1-0 win.
Slot has admitted he’s not happy with the number of chances that Liverpool are creating during matches. The Reds boss will have to come up with the solutions, although he is set to be depleted of options once again. Burnley, who beat Milwall 5-1 last weekend in the FA Cup, are also set to have members of their squad missing.

The young striker his recovering from a hamstring problem. Slot admitted before the Arsenal game that Danns wasn’t even close to making a return to fitness and has yet to return to training.
Stefan Bajcetic - out
The midfielder has yet to make an appearance this season, having had hamstring surgery in the summer. Reports have suggested that Bajcetic will not be back in training until the end of the month.
Mo Salah - out
The winger is representing Egypt at the African Cup of Nations.
Rio Ngumoha - minor doubt
The 17-year-old winger was substituted in the victory over Barnsley. Slot was hopeful that Ngumoha only picked up cramp so he should be OK.
