Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews featuring the likes of Anis Hadj-Moussa, Liam Rosenior and Breno Bidon that we think you may have missed…
Chelsea have opened talks to sign Feyenoord forward Anis Hadj-Moussa this January, according to reports in France as the Blues seek to add some more fire-power to the squad for the second half of the season.
CHELSEA have dominated possession in many matches this season, yet the team has struggled to convert chances into goals. The wide areas, in particular, have lacked the ruthlessness expected at the highest level.
At times, Chelsea’s attacks have looked predictable, one-paced, and too reliant on individual moments rather than sustained threat. A new attacker with pace, directness, and goal-scoring instincts would bring a sharper edge and increase the team’s ability to break down compact defences — something they have struggled with repeatedly.
The Paris-born winger caught the eye with a string of impressive cameo performances at the Africa Cup of Nations with Algeria, who were eliminated at the quarter-final stage by Nigeria at the weekend.
It follows an impressive start to the season for Hadj-Moussa at club level, with the 23-year-old racking up seven goals and three assists in 23 appearances for Feyenoord.
French publication Foot Mercato report that Hadj-Moussa’s recent showings at AFCON have won the attacker plenty of admirers across European football – and Chelsea are the latest club to make their move
The report has claimed that CHELSEA have now opened talks with the AFCON star in order to try and get a deal done before the close of the transfer window.

Hadj-Moussa has been impressive this season for his club, and even more impressive at AFCON, but he is no better than what Chelsea currently have and the fact he only has seven goals this season means that he would not add much of a threat in the Premier League.
If CHELSEA are to sign a new attacker, they need someone that can bang in the goals, score 25-30 goals a season, that is what is missing from that attack right now.
ROSENIOR WANTS MIDFIELDER
As the January transfer window continues to rumble on, Chelsea FC find themselves once again at a crossroads, looking to strengthen key areas of the squad to fuel a stronger second half of the season, and are keen to add a new midfielder according to reports.
While attention has often turned toward defensive reinforcements and additional firepower in wide areas, the need for a new midfielder has quietly become one of the club’s most important priorities. From tactical demands to depth issues, several factors explain why CHELSEA are pushing to add fresh quality in the heart of the pitch.
Midfield Imbalance Has Undermined Consistency
Chelsea’s midfield this season has struggled to find the right balance between creativity, control, and defensive stability. Matches have often shown a disconnect between midfield and attack, with the team lacking a reliable player who can consistently link play, dictate tempo, and break lines with smart passing.
While individual players have delivered strong performances at times, the unit as a whole has lacked cohesion. The absence of a natural midfield conductor — someone capable of controlling large stretches of a game — has made CHELSEA overly reliant on moments of brilliance rather than sustained control. A new midfielder with composure and tactical intelligence would help address this structural issue.
Need for a Defensive Shield and Ball Winner
One of Chelsea’s clearest vulnerabilities has been in transitional moments. When possession is lost, the midfield often struggles to regain shape quickly or win duels decisively. Opponents have exploited this by driving through central areas and creating dangerous counter-attacking opportunities.
A midfielder with strong defensive instincts — someone who can anticipate danger, break up play, and protect the back line — would significantly improve Chelsea’s ability to control transitions. This type of player has become essential in modern football, and it is an area where Chelsea have lacked consistency.
Lack of Creativity From Deep Areas
Despite having attacking talent in forward positions, Chelsea’s chance creation from midfield has not been at the level expected for a club with top-four ambitions. Too often, play has been slow or predictable, with few line-breaking passes or progressive carries from deeper zones.
Signing a midfielder capable of injecting creativity, whether through incisive passing or confident ball progression, would unlock more opportunities for the forwards and add a new dimension to CHELSEA’s attacking structure.

With injuries, inconsistency, and tactical gaps all contributing to Chelsea’s midfield challenges, the need for reinforcement this January is clear. A new midfielder would provide balance, depth, creativity, and stability — qualities essential for the club’s ambitions both now and beyond the current season.
CHELSEA MAKE BIDON MOVE
Here is the latest Chelsea transfer speculation which has claimed that Blues have enquired about young Brazilian star Breno Bidon, as they look to add the talented young Brazilian star to the squad.
CHELSEA may have a brand new manager after giving Liam Rosenior the chance to prove himself in the Premier League, but that doesnt mean that the Blues board are not looking to sign some of the games best young plyers.
Now TNT Sports in Brazil claims Chelsea have enquired about young Brazilian star Breno Bidon, following earlier reports that suggested the Premier League outfit had made contact with Corinthians.
The report claims the Gunners have also made contact with Dodici Sports, the agency that represents the 20-year-old midfielder, to discuss his current situation and the possibility of a move in the future.
It adds that no figures were discussed, with CHELSEA now joining Manchester United and Arsenal in enquiring about the Brazilian playmaker. Speaking earlier this year, Corinthians boss, Dorival Júnior said: “He’s a very important player. And if I’m being honest with you, I wouldn’t like to lose any player.
“We need to find balance so we can have a strong squad throughout the year. That is our biggest challenge.”
IcFootballnews Says…
If Bidon is going to sign for one of the big Premier League clubs, a move to Chelsea would represent a massive challenge for the lad because their have such a massive squad with so many young talents.
Nothing is concrete until a transfer deal is done, but the lad is seriously talented and just the type of player that CHELSEA like to sign. He could be a great capture for the club, and it would be an amazing move for Bidon to make because he would be coming to the Premier League.
But as we said, he would not be guaranteed any game time at the Blues and would have to work seriously hard to even get any minutes.
