It has been a very quiet opening two weeks of the January transfer window at Liverpool.
James Norris left Liverpool on a permanent basis shortly after the winter window opened.
Elsewhere, the signing of Mor Talla Ndiaye has been confirmed, though he is expected to link up with Rob Page’s U21 squad initially.

A deal for young centre-back Ifeanyi Ndukwe is understood to have been agreed as well, but again, he is a player for the future and will spend the remainder of 2025/26 out on loan.

At present, a senior signing who will actually be used regularly this term has yet to materialise.

But while a host of new faces arriving at Anfield this winter is looking unlikely, additions can’t be fully ruled out.
Speaking to Sky Sports, journalist James Savundra explained what it would take for Liverpool to ‘look to do something’ before the deadline in early February.

He said: “I don’t think this [Bradley injury] is going to force Liverpool into doing anything in this window.
“I think their stance is, if one of the top targets they had in mind for the summer becomes available for a good fee in this window, they’ll look to do something.
“So, they’ll be alert and responsive if any opportunity arises.
“The big plan for them is to move for Marc Guehi in the summer, it seems unlikely they will look to buy him now.”

Players linked to Liverpool
As mentioned above, Liverpool want Guehi, but he is likely to be someone they move for later this year.
Elsewhere, Yan Diomande is a target and has recently expressed his desire to play for the Reds.
Again, though, it’s thought Diomande has a big price tag, and it remains to be seen whether a move could be completed midway through a season.
There have also been links to Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Ryerson after Conor Bradley’s injury.
