Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink says Chelsea's Estevao Willian did something he's never seen before

Chelsea may have lost against Arsenal, but the performance of Estevao Willian was certainly a positive for Liam Rosenior.

Many Chelsea supporters grew frustrated when Estevao Willian wasn’t given as many chances as they would have liked under Enzo Maresca, and it’s clear to see why.

Liam Rosenior has the right plan of not overdoing it with Estevao, but it’s difficult as he clearly offers so much and needs to be playing in these big games.

One thing that Estevao and his Chelsea teammates need to brush up on, though, is discipline. Both he and Pedro Neto received stupid yellow cards against Arsenal.

Nonetheless, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was impressed with what he saw.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink loved how Estevao Willian played against Jurrien Timber

There aren’t many attackers who give Arsenal’s Jurrien Timber a hard time, but the Brazilian managed to do so throughout the 90 minutes.

Chelsea legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink noticed just how well Estevao played, as he told Jamie Redknapp all about his performance.

Speaking on Sky Sports, he said.

“Nobody has done that really yet to Timber, and Estevao gave him a really hard time.”

“The boy can play. It’s so nice to see him doing it. He gets you at the end of your seat. And that’s what we want to see, and he brings it. And he’s a little bit unlucky not to have a goal because he had twice that he had a really good shot at the goal.”

Liam Rosenior faces a difficult decision for Brentford

Alejandro Garnacho put his name in the hat for a potential start against Brentford after a brace against Arsenal.

In fact, Garnacho broke a 121-year record by becoming the first substitute in Chelsea’s history to score two goals in a major cup semi-final (FA Cup or League Cup).

Meanwhile, Pedro Neto hasn’t looked as good on the left and could switch back to the right, with Rosenior labelling his performance as ‘outstanding’ against the Gunners.

Brentford cannot be taken lightly either, as they’ve been scoring goals for fun recently.
