Look back at our 14 previous FA Cup triumphs

Ahead of our opening match of the 2025/26 Adobe Women’s FA Cup campaign, we’ve taken a look back at the 14 times we went all the way to win this competition.

We’re comfortably the most successful club in the FA Cup with 14 titles, six ahead of second-placed Southampton. Our first triumph came over 30 years ago…

**April 24, 1993**

**Arsenal 3-0 Doncaster Belles**

**Manor Ground, Oxford**

Our first win in the competition was 21 years ago when goals from Michelle Curley, Naz Ball and Debbie Bampton saw off Doncaster Belles at the Manor Ground in Oxford. It was a springboard for future success as we went on to complete a league and cup double that season before retaining our league crown the following year.

**April 30, 1995**

**Arsenal 3-2 Liverpool**

**Prenton Park, Merseyside**

We sealed our second FA Cup victory two years later after a thrilling contest against the Reds at Prenton Park.

**May 4, 1998**

**Arsenal 3-2 Croydon**

**The New Den, Millwall**

Another entertaining final saw us edge out London rivals Croydon at the New Den. A penalty from Joanne Broadhurst gave Croydon an early lead but Marieanne Spacey and a young Rachel Yankey turned the tie in our favour with strikes either side of half-time. Hope Powell put Croydon back on terms but Kelley Few popped up with a dramatic winner in stoppage time.

**May 3, 1999**

**Arsenal 2-0 Southampton Saints**

**The Valley, Charlton**

We retained the trophy for the first time in 1999 after a comfortable 2-0 win over Southampton Saints at The Valley. A Sharon Hayes own goal sent us ahead on 15 minutes and Clare Wheatley added the second four minutes before half-time.

**May 7, 2001**

**Arsenal 1-0 Fulham**

**Selhurst Park, London**

Angela Banks' 51st-minute winner sealed our fifth FA Cup trophy in front of more than 13,000 fans at Selhurst Park. Vic Akers' side went on to win a domestic treble that season by winning the Women's Premier League and the League Cup.

**May 3, 2004**

**Arsenal 3-0 Charlton Athletic**

**Loftus Road, London**

We had to wait three more years to lift the FA Cup for the sixth time. A Julie Fleeting hat-trick inspired us to a 3-0 win against Charlton at Loftus Road.

**May 1, 2006**

**Arsenal 5-0 Leeds United**

**The New Den, Millwall**

We thrashed Leeds United at the New Den to claim our seventh win in the competition in 2006. A Lucy Ward own goal set Arsenal on their way after just three minutes and two goals in as many minutes from Julie Fleeting and Rachel Yankey sent us further clear before half-time. Kelly Smith's penalty and a late strike from Lianne Sanderson capped off a comprehensive victory for Vic Akers' side.

**May 7, 2007**

**Arsenal 4-1 Charlton Athletic**

**City Ground, Nottingham**

We retained the FA Cup for the second time in our history after we came from behind to beat Charlton 4-1 at the City Ground. Katie Holtham gave the Addicks a surprise lead in the second minute but Kelly Smith fired Arsenal back on terms five minutes later. Jayne Ludlow struck a brace before half-time to put us in command and Smith added her second to seal the win late on.

**May 5, 2008**

**Arsenal 4-1 Leeds United**

**City Ground, Nottingham**

A record crowd of 24,582 witnessed us lift the FA Cup for a third successive year and become the most successful side in the competition's history. We were dominant from start to finish but didn't take the lead until the 53rd minute when Kelly Smith prodded home from close range. Jayne Ludlow guided home our second before Lianne Sanderson ended the contest before the hour mark. Jess Clarke pulled a goal back for Leeds but Smith restored our three-goal cushion with 10 minutes remaining.

**May 4, 2009**

**Arsenal 2-1 Sunderland**

**Pride Park, Derby**

We clinched an incredible fourth straight victory in the competition after a win over Sunderland at Pride Park. Katie Chapman fired us ahead in the 32nd minute but we had to wait until the 90th minute to see off the Black Cats when Kim Little rounded the keeper and slotted into an empty net. Kelly McDougall netted a consolation for Sunderland in stoppage time but it didn't take the gloss off a memorable day for Vic Akers in his last season in charge of us.

**May 21, 2011**

**Arsenal 2-0 Bristol Academy**

**Ricoh Arena, Coventry**

Kim Little starred again as we brought the trophy back to north London for the 11th time after a 2-0 win against Bristol Academy. The Scotland international weaved her way through the Vixens defence to put us ahead in the 15th minute before Julie Fleeting's powerful header sealed victory at the Ricoh Arena.

**May 26, 2013**

**Arsenal 3-0 Bristol Academy**

**Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster**

Our 12th win in the competition came with Bristol Academy again the victims of a rampant Arsenal side. Steph Houghton's header gave us the perfect start and further strikes from Jordan Nobbs and Ellen White in the second half secured Shelley Kerr's first trophy at the club.

**June 1, 2014**

**Arsenal 2-0 Everton**

**Stadium MK, Milton Keynes**

Over 15,000 supporters travelled to Milton Keynes to see us retain the trophy again thanks to a stunning free-kick from Kelly Smith and a strike by Yukari Kinga, ending Kerr’s 16-month spell as our manager on a high note after a disappointing campaign in the WSL.

**May 14, 2016**

**Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea**

**Wembley Stadium, London**

We defeated the reigning champions Chelsea at Wembley thanks to Danielle Carter’s 18th-minute stunning curler in front of a crowd of 32,912. We held out to secure a well-deserved win and become only the second team to lift the trophy at Wembley.
