A young player’s loan deal with Chelsea is due to be ended early so his parent club can loan him out to a different Premier League side.
The 21-year-old Argentinian, who has been capped twice by his country, joined Brighton for £5.3m three years ago from his boyhood club, Rosario Central in Argentina.
The attacking midfielder had not wanted for appearances on the south coast in his first couple of years there, but was loaned out to Leicester last season, and went to Chelsea at the beginning of this term.
Now, it seems, his Chelsea loan will be ended early so he can be sold to Leeds. Buonanotte was on Leeds’ radar last August, with preliminary arrangements in place, before Chelsea’s loan offer made him change his mind. So far, though, he has struggled for minutes, and has not completed a Premier League match for the Blues. He has played in Carabao Cup, but was only on the bench last night.
