The 24-year-old forward has been sidelined since December 7 after suffering a high left ankle sprain against the New York Knicks. After more than a month of recovery, Wagner is now cleared to play and will rejoin the Magic on the international stage.
Before the injury, Wagner had been one of Orlando’s most important players. He leads the team with his scoring touch, strong off-ball movement, and ability to create for others. In 24 games this season, Wagner is averaging 22.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game.
His return adds scoring punch and lineup flexibility for Orlando, especially on the wing. Wagner can guard multiple positions, push the pace in transition, and operate as a secondary ball handler, all areas where the Magic have felt his absence.
