Chelsea haven’t been impacted by the ongoing African Cup of Nations, but one of their loan players has been showcasing his talents.
The club model has been heavily criticised at Strasbourg mostly.
Chelsea‘s owners have poached Liam Rosenior and Emanuel Emegha is already set to join in the summer, with many of their supporters feeling they’re being used and ran like a money-making machine.
However, Rosenior isn’t too fussed by the model and even brushed it aside when he was asked about the controversy surrounding it after his appointment at Stamford Bridge.
It has had its benefits for Chelsea, despite all of the uproar.
Is Mike Penders the ultimate proof that the Strasbourg partnership actually works?👀

Mamadou Sarr impresses for Senegal against Egypt
Mamadou Sarr is one of the most highly-rated young defenders in the Chelsea system.
He’s currently on loan at sister club Strasbourg, where he joined from in the summer.
The defender came on as a substitute for former Chelsea captain Kalidou Koulibaly in the 23rd minute due to an injury, and the rest is history.
Sarr anchored a defense that completely neutralised Mohamed Salah, who finished the game with zero shots on target.
As well as this, the youngster had a 92% pass completion rate and won four out of five of his ground duels.
QUESTION: Who is out there that fits the description for Chelsea?👀

African outlet Seneweb did their player ratings for the match between Senegal and Egypt, which ended 1-0 to the former, and sees them book their place in the final against Morocco.
Mamadou Sarr (5/10), the young defender launched in this semi-final answered the call by making a good entrance, with a lot of sobriety and serenity.
Chelsea are currently short on quality centre-back options, so he may just slot in nicely from the summer. Especially after being nominated for the Golden Boy award in 2025.
