The former NBA star Blakeney appeared for the Chicago Bulls from 2017 to 2019 before moving to China to continue his career. Some of the games in question come during his playing days with the Jiangsu Dragons in 2023.
Prosecutors on the case allege that Blakeney was recruited by two “high stakes sports gamblers.” Marves Fairley and Shane Hennen allegedly had Blakeney participate and recruit other players to shave points on games.
