Lille wonderkid Ayyoub Bouaddi is very highly regarded in Europe, and he is known by a lot of big clubs as a potentially future world-class star. The 18-year-old Frenchman has generated interest from the likes of Real Madrid, PSG and Chelsea, but Arsenal seem to be the frontrunners to land him this window.
According to French outlet RMC Sport, the Gunners are eyeing a January move for Bouaddi, and they have already taken formal steps towards signing him.
It is understood that any deal for the 18-year-old is expected to cost around £43m. It isn’t cheap for a youngster, but Bouaddi could be a future star for the Gunners, so it could certainly be worth it. Furthermore, they would prevent rivals Chelsea from signing him.
So far this season, Bouaddi has made 15 Ligue 1 appearances for Lille. He has been playing the defensive midfielder role this season, but is also able to be more attacking if required. It could be a transfer story to keep an eye on…
