Liverpool are back in Premier League action against Burnley this weekend and rumours continue to circulate in the January transfer window. The Reds made seven new signings last summer, spending £446 million in total, but due to injuries and planning for the future it's likely they will dip back into the market again.
Alexander Isak signed for £125m on deadline day but suffered a serious leg injury against Tottenham Hotspur in December and is set to be out for a while. To add to their woes, new Italian centre-back Giovanni Leoni sustained a season-ending injury in September and won't be back to full fitness until at least the summer.

According to transfer expert Florian Plettenberg, Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner wants between £35m and £40m for central defender Marc Guehi if they sell him in January.
If they do not sell Guehi, the 25-year-old will be able to join a new club for free during the summer when his contract with the London club comes to an end. Liverpool, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and others teams are reportedly all interested in obtaining his services.
Guehi almost joined Liverpool on deadline day last summer but Palace blocked the transfer at the last minute. Palace chief Steve Parish revealed why to talkSPORT.
"It's a difficult decision. It's as simple as that these things are never black and white. I decided in the end that, based on the advice that I got and with what I think, that we would have a better season if we kept Marc," he said.
"We don't guess about these things. If you look at it rationally, if you look at what is worth the place in the Premier League, the fact that we're in the Conference League for the first time in our history, this is a fairly unusual set of circumstances in which to keep a player."

Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson has confirmed that contract talks with the club are underway for him to remain on Merseyside. Despite this, the vice-captain left the door open to other opportunities.
"We’ll see what happens," Robertson said. "We’ve had chats now which will remain private. I've spoken to them and we’ll see what happens. Would I like to stay? Yes, but it’s a difficult question to ask.
"I’ve got five months left and we need to see the option to stay or if there’s options to go and things like that."I’ll sit down with my family and decide. After a stressful summer, I’m just trying to enjoy being a part of it, and being a Liverpool player.
"I wanted to qualify for the World Cup and thankfully we’ve managed to do that. I need to see what myself and my family wants moving forward."
