Jamie Carragher and Roy Keane agree on who will win when Liverpool face Burnley in the Premier League

Liverpool are back in Premier League action on Saturday afternoon, taking on Burnley.

The Reds beat Barnsley 4-1 in the fourth round of the FA Cup earlier this week, but it was not an ideal performance.

That has been a recurring theme for Liverpool this season, with fans growing tired of Arne Slot despite an 11-game unbeaten run.

Speaking on The Overlap, both former players backed Slot’s men to come away with the three points.

Liverpool vs Burnley head-to-head record

While Liverpool have not been in the best form this season, all signs are pointing towards victory at Anfield.

The last meeting between the two sides took place on September 14, 2025, when Mohamed scored a 95th-minute winner.

Prior to that, the Merseyside outfit have largely dominated this fixture in recent years.

Liverpool did lose 1-0 in January 2021 when Sean Dyche was still manager and Ashley Barnes scored the only goal of the game.

But other than that blip, the Reds have not tasted defeat against Burnley since August 2016.
