The NBA season is starting to heat up now that 2026 has arrived, and basketball fans may have already gotten their dose of madness after Anthony Black took on the entire Memphis Grizzlies team.
The young Orlando Magic star featured late in Thursday’s game against Memphis with the matchup tied at 107-107.

That’s when Anthony Black sent social media into a frenzy with an early ‘Dunk of the Year’ candidate. The former Arkansas Razorbacks star drove the lane against four Grizzlies defenders before dunking over all of them.

The moment turned out to be even more massive considering it marks a rare international affair for two NBA teams. The Magic and Grizzlies met in Berlin, Germany and Black’s iconic moment will certainly be a great promo for future games abroad.

Meanwhile, the 21 year old firmly puts himself in the mix as one of the top young players in the Eastern Conference. Many NBA fans are also clamoring for him to enter the 2026 NBA Dunk Contest as well.
The league is just several weeks away from NBA All-Star Weekend where the best players in the league will meet up in Los Angeles from Feb. 13-15. While Black likely won’t receive the nod for the new All-Star format, he’s definitely deserving of a Dunk Contest shout.
