Stefon Diggs, the New England Patriots’ wide receiver, found himself in hot water in 2025. He’s currently facing criminal charges from an alleged incident involving his former private chef. Additionally, he fathered another child just a few months before Cardi B gave birth to their son in November 2025, with confirmation through a paternity test.
Mariah Rose, the daughter of former NBA player and ESPN sports analyst Jalen Rose, took to Instagram to share her opinions about Cardi dating Diggs.
“I always wonder when I see a rich, bad b**** dating an embarrassing man why she’s doing that to herself,” Rose said on her Hoops for Hotties channel. “Stefon Diggs has impregnated multiple women at one time, and he’s being accused of abusing his female chef, and all of this mess that, if you’re Cardi B, you don’t need to be in. … You have hundreds of millions of dollars in your own name for yourself. You’ve already created the life you’ve always dreamed of on your own. So, why align yourself with an embarrassing man? I don’t understand it.”
Mariah also called out real estate broker Emma Hernan for whom she’s dated. She noted that Hernan dated a billionaire who “didn’t treat her well” and “split her up from her best friend.”
Cardi B previously told her fans to ‘calm down’ about her relationship
Cardi B knows that some of her fans disapprove of her relationship with Stefon Diggs.
“Y’all need to calm down,” she said on X in December 2025. “Is y’all cool? Y’all been dragging me for three or four days and y’all been a little bit too mean. Like, alright now. Y’all being a little bit too mean.”
She went on to say that she can’t go “back in time” and change the past. “I already had a baby,” she noted. “Y’all want me to put my baby back in my p****? Huh? I don’t know what y’all want me to do. Y’all want me to leave my man and f*** yours? I don’t know what ya’ll want me to do. We can only go forward now.”
Cardi noted that she’s beyond stressed, as she has a lot of work to do on her upcoming tour. All in all, she wants her fans to love and support her, no matter what’s going on in her personal life.

Stefon Diggs is known for keeping a low profile when it comes to his personal life, rarely addressing rumors, social media backlash, or relationship controversies in the press. Unlike Cardi B, who has openly responded to criticism and shared personal updates, Diggs has consistently chosen to maintain privacy. He’s focused his public comments on his football career and family milestones rather than online drama.
“Obviously, I want to get as candid with you guys as possible,” Diggs previously told reporters in 2025, according to a clip posted by TMZ. “I kind of have a thing where I don’t talk about my personal life with people I don’t know personally.”
