Despite trade interest by the Pacers, Warriors and other teams, the Nets aren't willing to trade Nic Claxton.
Beyond Michael Porter Jr., Nic Claxton stands as a major asset that teams are monitoring around the league within the Brooklyn Nets.

But despite the warm trade interest, including from the Indiana Pacers and the Golden State Warriors, HoopsHype's Michael Scotto revealed that the Nets aren't willing to move on from their big man.
"A couple of teams that have had some interest. You look at the Indiana Pacers right now, who are actively looking on the market in general to find an upgrade after they lost Myles Turner. You've also got the Golden State Warriors, who are looking at various center options as well across the league. And there are other teams as well looking at Nic, but once again, this is a guy that has helped anchor the number one defense in December for the Brooklyn Nets," the NBA insider claimed.
"He can switch on pick and rolls, pick and pops as well, and he's a good shot blocker as well. So, I think when you look at Nic Claxton for the Nets, same thing. He's a guy that they do view as a part of the future, but he's certainly got an interest around the league."
Claxton appeared in 36 games so far this season. He is averaging a career-high 13.1 points and 4.0 assists with 7.5 rebounds and 1.4 blocks.
The Nets don't have their first-round pick for next season, and Claxton stands as a key piece worth keeping for them next year in contending.
Despite being at the bottom of the league so far with an 11-27 record, the Nets appear committed to Claxton and what he can bring to the team in the long run.
