Klay Thompson clinches all-time 3-point feat, surpasses Damian Lillard

The former NBA star is now at No. 4 in the all-time leaderboard in threes made.

Klay Thompson turns another page in the NBA's three-point record books.

Dallas Mavericks / Schedule

The Dallas Mavericks veteran surpassed Damian Lillard in the NBA's all-time record in three-pointers made. A trifecta with 1:17 left in the second quarter allowed Thompson to move past the Portland Trail Blazers star.

His reaction says it all, as Thompson now has 2,805 treys and counting.

The former NBA star trails Ray Allen (2,973), James Harden (3,293+) on the leaderboard. Steph Curry, his Splash Brother and former co-star in Golden State, still sits atop and holds the record with 4,201 triples and counting.

In 38 games so far, Thompson is averaging 11.3 points while shooting nearly 37 percent from the field.
