West Ham make shock call to Chelsea icon about coming to the Premier League - journalist

Chelsea aren’t the only team looking to strengthen their squad this month, as West Ham United are turning to a familiar face at Stamford Bridge.

Liam Rosenior could endure a busy second half of the January transfer window after the Chelsea owners decided to bring forward their plans to sign a centre-back.

It’s a good decision, but it remains to be seen if they’ll follow through with it.

Names like Jeremy Jacquet have been floated around, but he’s a 20-year-old central defender. Chelsea needs to turn to experience, given their current options.

Antonio Rudiger is another name that has been rumoured, but that seems far-fetched.

However, he’s not the only former Chelsea star who could return to the Premier League this month.

QUESTION: Who is out there that fits the description for Chelsea?👀

West Ham have made a call about signing N’Golo Kante

N’Golo Kante looked like he could be on his way to Fenerbahce, but it seems as if his situation is far from sorted, with other clubs keeping an eye on his situation.

According to Ben Jacobs (via TalkSPORT YouTube channel), the Kante situation is far from over.

“Now he’s got six months remaining and is open to my knowledge after meetings that actually took place in Dubai with the player camp, to leaving midseason with a view to being back in Europe and playing regularly at the level of the Turkish Super League ahead of the World Cup.

“But his inclusion in the French national team is not in doubt. So if he ends up staying in Saudi Arabia, it won’t really impact his World Cup chances.

“But I think Kante’s ready to leave Saudi Arabia. The player knows he’s going anywhere in the summer on a free transfer. And now it’s whether Al Itihad are going to change their position and agree on something with Fenerbahce now, or insist that Kante stays between nowand the end of the season.

“And I think at this stage it’s fair to say the player is open, on the player’s side no problem. He’ll even take a wage cut to join Fenerbahce.

“Nobody from the Premier League has countered the Fenerbahce offer to any serious degree yet, but West Ham made a call.”

N’Golo Kante is offered to Chelsea until the end of the season… what is your response?👀
