Sheffield Wednesday fend off Premier League giants - Chelsea bid for Liverpool and Manchester…

Sheffield Wednesday still want to keep hold of Yisa Alao, but Chelsea have joined Liverpool and Manchester United in making a bid for the teenager.

The 17-year-old full back, who made his first start for the Owls in the FA Cup last weekend, is hot property at present, and faces an uncertain future as some of England’s biggest clubs pursue his signature.

It has previously been reported that both the Reds and the Red Devils had submitted mid-level six-figure offers for the talented teen, and now it’s understood that the Blues have done the same.

That being said, with an FAQ from the administrators saying recently that the preferred bidder had ‘deposited a large non-refundable deposit’ and ‘given further financial commitments to fund the club’s losses until this process completes’, many would assume that there is no pressure to sell anybody just yet.

Wednesday have already lost Caelan Kole-Cadamarteri and Romario Collins to the top-flight this season, with the duo having joined Manchester City, while Sutura Kakay left to join Southampton. The ideal scenario with Alao would be that he decides to stick around, but if he does move on it can only be hoped that the Owls get a deal that reflects his impressive potential.
