ACL and MCL injuries are rife in the Premier League at the moment. Plenty of top stars are on the sidelines with problems of this ilk – today, we’ll be looking at all of them.
Players from clubs such as Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur all feature on this list – but which club has it the worst as things stand?
Fabio Carvalho (Brentford)
Fabio Carvalho’s young career has been plagued by injuries – sadly, the 2025/26 season has offered him no reprieve.
He underwent knee surgery to correct the problem, but he won’t be fit to play again until the next campaign.
Josh Dasilva (Brentford)
Josh Dasilva’s triple ACL, MCL and meniscus injury has kept him out of action for almost two years now. He has undergone three surgeries – he could finally make his return this season.
Despite his injury, Brentford have shown faith in him, handing him a new contract in October of 2025 until the end of the season.
Stefanos Tzimas (Brighton)
Stefanos Tzimas was one of Brighton’s main summer signings. In a cruel twist of fate, he suffered his ACL injury during his first Premier League start in December.
He won’t be back until next season – even then, it’s highly unlikely he will be fit to play at the dawn of the 2026/27 campaign.
Adam Webster (Brighton)
Losing Adam Webster was a big blow for Brighton – alongside Lewis Dunk, they each add physicality and height to their backline.
Nevertheless, Webster suffered an ACL injury in pre-season, ruling him out for the entirity of the 2025/26 campaign.
