Arsenal Finally Have A Striker&Could Lift Title In Spite Of Him

Whisper it quietly, but after a few seasons where manager Mikel Arteta saw his Arsenal side finish in second spot and as runners up in the race for the Premier League title, the 2025/26 campaign could be the one that sees the Gunners finally achieve the dream of lifting the trophy themselves once again.

Passionate Arsenal fans have been waiting since way back in 2003/4 to bring the league crown home and many amongst the faithful will have only seen success in the FA Cup in 2019/20 as few real fans consider the FA Community Shield as anything more than a hyped up pre season friendly.

With 21 games played in the fixture calendar, we have picked up 49 points and are six points clear of nearest chasers Manchester City in top spot and punters who use a casino bitcoin site will be hoping they can enjoy similar luck and establish such an advantage of their own as they enjoy their online gaming. With a league best two defeats our success so far is down to 15 wins and four draws. We also have a league best conceded record of 14, with 40 goals scored and every fan will be well aware of our improvement and production from set pieces this campaign.

With a few years of steady improvement and serious first team bolstering, Arteta has also turned around our goalscoring form which had been on the slide in previous successive seasons, but the ironic thing there is that right now we are actually far less clinical when it comes to our strikers. This is despite shelling out a massive £64 million for Swedish international and former Sporting Lisbon attacker Viktor Gyokeres during the summer transfer window.

The 27 year old has struggled badly and has just not settled so far, but he has returned seven goals across all competitions in 20 starts and four further substitute showings. If anything, his goal return implies he has performed better than he actually has.

But other players have stepped up admirably this year and with goals being shared around we are taking wins quite comfortably despite Gyokeres form. That means that despite his clear lack of confidence, his teammates are buying him time to show real improvement and if he gets himself sharp and firing for the real business end of the campaign, our chances of lifting the PL prize will become even more pronounced.

After all the years of rightful fan complaints that we have lacked a true dyed in the wool attacker who could chip in with circa 20 goals a season, in some ways it is now almost daftly poetic that we could become the first top flight team since the rebrand of the division to take the title without having a single player in the top ten list of league goalscorers.

Of course, the league is not the only prize on offer this season as Arsenal are also in the semi finals of the League Cup, we are through to the fourth round of the FA Cup and we have an unbeaten 100% record in the Champions League campaign as well.

If Gyokeres really finds his shooting boots this could really turn into a season that nobody will forget in a hurry. If he does not, we still have alternative options as Gabriel Jesus returned from his anterior cruciate ligament issue in December and is now building his fitness and sharpness, and we have just welcomed Kai Havertz back following his own lengthy hamstring and knee injury.

Whatever happens in the remainder of the January transfer window, we could hardly be better placed.
