Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has announced Marc Guehi is closing in on a move to Manchester City.
The Crystal Palace boss said the centre-back would not be involved in the his team's matchday squad at Sunderland on Saturday, with the transfer moving towards completion. The Austrian told reporters that the England international's switch was in the "final stages" - just months after a deadline day move to Liverpool collapsed.
The Eagles manager, who also revealed he will leave the club come the summer when his contract expires - putting Manchester United on red alert, announced Guehi's departure is all but a done deal with Pep Guardiola's side beating Arne Slot's Reds to the signature of the 25-year-old.

In his pre-match press conference, Glasner said: "My understanding is that a deal with Marc is in its final stages. It is not done, but as a result, Marc doesn't play for us.
"I mentioned it a few weeks ago, I was pretty clear, every player and depending on his contract has their price and if we want to do it. When the player says, 'I want to move', it looks like that is going to happen now.
"Everyone wanted Marc to stay forever but reality is different. I talked to him, it stays between us but I think Marc has shown it in the summer transfer window, it in the whole season so far that he was 100% committed.

"I wish him all the best for his career, he will have a great one. He's still at the beginning, he has a fantastic future."
Palace are thought to be asking for between £35million and £40million for the England international. Guehi's contract is set to expire in the summer, and a proposed move to Anfield fell through after Palace pulled the plug because they could not secure a replacement.
