TheMilwaukee Bucks are not doing very great in the second season of Doc Rivers as their head coach. The 2025-26 NBA season is where he is supposed to be putting his fingerprints on the team.
Unlike last season, he had a full offseason with the Bucks going into the current campaign. It looked great in the beginning, as Milwaukee opened the season with a 4-1 record. Months later, the team is several games under .500 with a 17-24 record following a119-101 loss on the roadat the hands of Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday.
The game looked already seemingly out of reach by the end of the third quarter, as the Spurs bombarded Milwaukee with a 40-minute quarter for a 37-point lead.
Milwaukee posted a graphic of the score before the fourth quarter, and it only ignited calls from fans tfor the team to fire Rivers.

Fans want Bucks to hand Rivers his walking papers
“FIRE [expletive] DOC RIVERS OR LET GIANNIS GO!!!,” said a fan on X.
Another one said: “TRADE GA HE DESERVES BETTER. FIRE DOC INSTANTLY”
From a commenter: “Fire Doc Rivers”
“FIRE GLENN RIVERS.,” a social media user posted.
Via a different commenter: “FIRE DOC, FIRE JON HORST, TRADE GIANNIS”
Said another: “Whenever yall wanna fire doc we can start winning”
“FIRE HIM. WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR???” another added.
“Doc better get fired a sec after the game,” echoed a fellow fan.
The Bucks are now on a three-game losing skid. Despite Giannis Antetokounmpo healthy and playing, wins have been hard to come by for Milwaukee. Between the losing and the persistent concerns about Antetokounmpo’s possible departure, fans are seemingly losing it at this point of the season.
In any case, Milwaukee will look to snap its skid this coming Monday against the Atlanta Hawks on the road.
