Stan Collymore is concerned that Aston Villa may be forced to sell Morgan Rogers in the summer due to PSR problems, with reports the likes of CHELSEA are eyeing up a move for the player
According to many reports, all the big clubs have set their sights on potential transfer deals for two of England’s top young talents in the form of Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers.
Rogers has developed into one of the most talented attacking midfielders in the Premier League after he made the decision to leave Manchester City on a permanent basis, and is now worth well over £100 million.
Now – amid all the speculation and rumours – Collymore has opened up and claimed that Aston Villa could be forced into selling Rodgers: “I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he has big parts to play in [World Cup] games and wouldn’t be at all surprised if Villa are fielding offers of £70, 80 [million], plus add-ons, plus players going the other way because Villa obviously need players because of PSR compliance,” he told GOAL.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if he is one of the big summer targets.”
IcChelseanews Says…
Rodgers to CHELSEA would be a brilliant signing for the club, we are massive fans of the player and firmly believe that he would offer this attack something different, he should come to the Bridge.
But money may be a problem as the club will surely not want to spend over £100M on one new midfielder at the end of the season, especially as Rodgers value will decrease with his age.
However – in terms of a statement signing, he would be massive for us.
